Cultured Space Launches to Provide Culturally-informed Teletherapy Services

April 13 18:42 2021

NEW YORK – April 13, 2021 – Cultured Space, a new therapeutic service provider, is excited to announce its official launch at culturedspace.org bringing to the residents of New York and New Jersey a safe online space for culturally-informed therapy.

Cultured Space is a fee-based support center that delivers far beyond what is required by a therapist with professionals that are specifically trained in addressing diversity and incorporating culturally-informed practices into their work to facilitate a safe space for therapy. At Cultured Space, they understand that therapists aren’t one-size-fits-all and know that finding the right one can be especially difficult for marginalized populations.

That is why Cultured Space has cultivated an inclusive approach for individuals in need, incorporating best-in-class methods with the right therapist to help them succeed. They strive to pair individuals with therapists that have a deep understanding of their unique cultural background and the aspects that make them unique, in order to provide guidance with issues related to workplace anxiety, relationship, acute events, depression, racism, micro-aggressions and more.

“The pandemic has heightened awareness of the pressures faced by individuals of diverse backgrounds and the demand for dedicated services is increasing,” said Nicole Murray, CEO & Founder of Cultured Space. “It is time to start embracing our individuality and to provide an approach to therapy that is truly empathetic, unbiased, anti-racist, LGBTQIA affirming and culturally-informed.”

Along with its culturally-informed practices, the support center is also committed to helping as many individuals as possible with therapeutic services that are provided through virtual means. Individuals can video chat live with their therapist via a HIPAA-compliant platform where they will have a session just as they would in person.

“We are so proud to be able to offer this diverse type of therapy and to also be innovating in the industry,” added Willam Lu, Vice President. “Teletherapy, or telehealth is the future of therapy and we are including everyone in the conversation.”

Cultured Space is now accepting individuals to work with its team of expert therapists including Peter Amado, Diana Hope, Jayshree Gandhi and Sumathy Applewhite.
