San Diego – Baiera Wellness Products dba step2health announced today that it has entered into a non-exclusive alliance with Walmart to sell the company’s increasingly sought after step2bed products online through Walmart.com.
The alliance is remarkable because Baiera Wellness Products is a small San Diego-based family run business, and Walmart is the largest retailer in the world. Perhaps more remarkable is the fact that Walmart approached Baiera Wellness to sell the company’s flagship step2bed product through its online division rather than the other way around.
“I was initially contacted by Walmart’s category buyer after he had been reviewing a wide variety of products in the fall prevention category,” Founder Vince Baiera recalls. “At first I wasn’t convinced that the inquiry was real. After all, we only first came up with the step2bed idea less than two years ago – to help prevent falls among seniors experiencing difficulties with getting in and out of bed at night. The vast majority of our resulting sales have been coming through our placement of them on Amazon, Ebay, and our company website…”
“…But after speaking with the buyer at Walmart, I realized he had been seriously looking into the efficacy of our unique product as of early 2019. Thereafter, the entire Walmart category buyers team conducted an exhaustive follow-up review of our prior sales as well as step2bed’s future potential, and they felt our solution was a great way to serve their shoppers.”
The alliance between step2health and Walmart was finalized in late May. The step2bed is now being offered in the Bedroom Safety Section of Walmart’s website. It also comes complete with a two-day shipping guarantee, nationwide.
“We’ve since been receiving ongoing guidance and support from Walmart’s team through supportive phone calls and advice,” Vince observes with pride. “Walmart’s comprehensive automated system and its people who have come together to help streamline business have been a pleasure to work with – and its proof positive why the company continues to remain Number One in the retail industry,” Vince notes.
Beyond his flagship step2bed product, Vince has been working on related product expansion lines to include new step2tub and step2shower support tools for senior and the disabled, and sees the future for his product lines as being extremely bright. Recently, Baiera Wellness Products signed another new agreement with the large online retailer, Vitality Medical.
