Stunning Ocean Front Townhouses To Reach 70% Return On Investment

October 12 06:54 2021

As Mies van der Rohe says, “Architecture belongs to the epoch,” and hence it needs to reflect the needs of people in a progressive manner. Therefore, we are on a mission for contemporary design to become an art movement and to make contemporary architecture more popular and appreciated.

A recent example of our collaboration with real estate partners includes the Ocean Six Terraces project, developed by the Green Park Group – Toronto, based on Team KHORA’s feasibility study (preliminary architectural plans and pro forma), allowed Green Park Group to secure the property, develop the land, and retain ownership of all six units for future sale, ultimately, anticipates a 70% return in one year.

OCEAN SIX TERRACES – Studio KHORA

The project, Ocean Six Terraces, is a new construction comprised of six oceanfront townhouses. These townhouses have a unique shape in which symbolic structures formulate the visual field of the imaginary, and as a result, architecture involves a linguistic dimension.

The front façade brings a sense of peacefulness, tranquility, and harmony with the environment. Our design concept is based on an inspiration acquired from “Rhein II,” the famous 1999 photograph by German visual artist Andreas Gursky. The artist presents a straightforward yet calming connection to contemporary art that serves as a counterpoint for a confusing world.

The rear façade design attempts to defragment the predicted overwhelming building mass and respect the oceanfront setting and the pedestrian approach to the beach.

The townhouses create a sense of privacy with distance from each other, visual space for the dunes, with natural and added vegetation to buffer the visual impact of the new construction and provide less shading to the beach. A 14-foot-tall storefront glass wall located at the master bathroom accentuates the design. From the jacuzzi, one may enjoy the unobstructed connection from the sky to the infinite waters of the ocean. The building is oriented East and West, with deep balconies and high ceiling living spaces to avoid solar gains and reduce discomfort from glare.

Studio KHORA believes that growing cities in the East, are a perfect place for the expansion of contemporary architecture. Sydney architects have been already remarking contemporary architecture movement, but maybe taking one step further, merging architecture with contemporary art, we might find a new style.
