ORLIC, launched as an OBM by Metapola, is a high-functioning clean beauty brand that embodies the company’s sincere commitment to organic, aroma, and skin research. The brand features a functional skincare line based on natural ingredients. Notably, ORLIC utilizes proprietary technology to activate wild ginseng from Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, as the main ingredient in its ‘Wild Panax Activator’, delivering innovative and effective components for rapid skin improvement.

The ‘Wild Panax Activator’ is ORLIC’s signature ingredient, a unique complex combining Pyeongchang’s mountain ginseng, which is recognized for its quality by the Korea Forest Service, with Spilanthes Acmella and Astragalus. This blend enriches the skin with vitality and provides robust care, thanks to the saponins found in mountain ginseng and Astragalus. Furthermore, ORLIC’s skincare products incorporate ‘Ectoin’, a next-generation derma ingredient exceptional for skin barrier care, offering high-functionality skincare that quickly restores the delicate skin of modern individuals.

ORLIC’s skincare line, which includes essence, serum, cream, and toner, is formulated without 20 harmful ingredients, including parabens and MIT/CMIT, and has received vegan certification from the Korean Vegan Certification Authority. All products have completed skin irritation tests for safe use on sensitive skin and have undergone clinical testing for skin efficacy, proving their effectiveness in maintaining 24-hour hydration and enhancing moisturizing properties.

The ‘ORLIC Lemon and Wild Ginseng Clearing Toner’ contains lemon and AHA components to brighten the skin both morning and evening. Made with 95% naturally derived ingredients, it gently cares for the skin without irritation. Infused with organic lemongrass oil, it delivers a fragrant and sweet aroma.

The ‘ORLIC Lavender and Wild Ginseng Balancing Essence’ is a balancing essence designed to soothe sensitized skin and restore its balance. It features ‘Calmskin A7’, an anti-inflammatory and calming ingredient developed for severely damaged skin, which soothes irritated skin and strengthens the barrier with the inclusion of Ectoin. 

The ‘ORLIC Rosemary and Ectoin Youth Serum’ is a wrinkle-improvement functional cosmetic that provides moisture to the skin and improves wrinkles. Containing 44% organic rosemary leaf water and adenosine, it offers immediate skin elasticity. It’s also rich in natural moisturizing agents, providing intense hydration and firm care for the skin.

ORLIC Rosemary and Ectoin Youth Cream’ is a dual-functional cosmetic for whitening and wrinkle improvement, filled with rosemary. It contains alpha-bisabolol, adenosine, and Ectoin, delivering immediate elasticity and barrier care.

Following its grand brand launch in October, ORLIC has been expanding its channels through e-commerce platforms such as its own online store, Naver Smart Store, and Coupang. Additionally, the brand plans to enter physical retail spaces, with scheduled entries in five branches of Shinsegae Department Store and Lotte Department Store this December. Furthermore, discussions regarding brand exports to countries such as the United States, Japan, Thailand, Russia, and Turkey are currently underway with the anticipation of contract signings within the year.  A representative stated, “In order to meet consumer expectations, we plan to extend our reach beyond online to offline, increasing consumer touchpoints through a multitude of distribution networks.” This expansion strategy reflects ORLIC’s commitment to making their products more accessible and enhancing customer engagement across multiple platforms.
